| Canyon Crest Academy student wins Grand Prize in Ivy West's ‘2 Minutes to College’ video scholarship
Canyon Crest Academy student Tyler Lampe has been named one of the winners in Ivy West’s “2 Minutes to College” Video Contest. Lampe is one of the five scholarship winners from California and wins a $2,000 scholarship. The contest included numerous entries from high school juniors and seniors residing in California.
To encourage students to prepare for college and to help defray college costs, Ivy West, California’s premier provider of group, one-on-one, and in-home college and high school admissions test prep services, created the “2 Minutes to College” Video Contest for Californian high school students. Participating students produced two- minute videos in which they described their dream college and explained why the dream college should accept them.
“Congratulations to Tyler Lampe for his creative, winning entry. Education beyond high school, allows students additional choices that may not otherwise be possible — opening doors to better paying careers and giving students the opportunity to do the things they enjoy most,” said Graeme Brown, Ivy West regional director. “At Ivy West, we are committed to ensuring our students succeed as they prepare to enter college. We believe this contest has not only provided a creative outlet for students, but also helped them achieve their dreams by providing college funding.”
